⭕ Installation Tips

⓵ NS/S kit pairing – The NS/S configuration uses one 8 × 5 × 2.5 mm bearing (included) + one 9 × 4 × 4 mm bearing/sleeve (reused from your original knob). Assemble per the diagram.

⓶ Many newer Shimano reels (Stella, Talica, TwinPower, Tranx, Trinidad/Ocea Jigger) have 9 mm OD bearings on both sides of the factory knob. The UJ 45 mm housing is 8 mm (inboard/arm side) and 9 mm (outboard/end-cap side) → you must install one 8 × 5 × 2.5 (included) + one 9 × 4 × 4 (from your original knob).

⓷ Talica notes – New Talica typically has 9/9 mm sleeves; older Talica may be 9 mm (arm) + 8 mm (end-cap). Either way, use one 8 × 5 × 2.5 (included) and your 9 × 4 × 4 sleeve/bearing. You may upgrade the sleeve to a 9 × 4 × 4 bearing if you prefer.

⓸ New Ocea Jigger 1500–5000 – Use one 8 mm spacer from the NS kit + one 8 × 5 × 2.5 bearing (included) to complete the install.
